This is an 8-week course held on Thursdays.  Innovative copper and bronze clays contain pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured, and more. The binders burn away when fired, leaving pure metal. Make earrings, pendants, and other jewelry, guided in topics including molding the clay, construction techniques, firing, and finishing. All levels welcome.

    Marvel at the beauty when fused glass and fine silver come together.  Capture and enhance beautifule fused glass with innovative Art Clay Silver to make unique jewelry. Silversmithing tools and skills are not needed, as Art Clay Silver is sculpted and worked like clay and kiln-fired to pure fine silver, making this class ideal for students of all levels.  

    NOTE: Fused glass will be provided. We will not be fusing glass during class.

      Learn the ins and outs of the powerful Silhouette Studio software as we explore creating your own custom templates for use with metal clay or traditional jewelry making. We'll go from basic shapes to more complex designs to multilayered, registered templates. IMPORTANT: Students must bring their own laptop to class. A silhouette curio cutting machine is recommended, but not required. Two shared machines will be available in class. No prior experience is required. There is no material fee for this class. By constructing a silver clay piece for champlevé enameling, you'll learn what specifics to look for, along with the proper firing for highly successful enameling.                   This class will open for registration in April

                  In order to become a certified instructor, you must successfully complete the Level One Certification course. This course is designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of Art Clay Silver. The curriculum consists of seven different projects and covers a wide variety of techniques. Some of the techniques include use of organic forms, creating flat and round-shank rings, addition and firing of gemstones, creating a mirror finish, and much more. This course provides general and technical information, as well as some helpful teaching guidelines.

                  Upon successful completion of this course, you are entitled to:

                  2. Teach Art Clay Introductory classes
                  3. Take the Senior Level Certification Course
