Learn Enameling on Silver Clay with Art Clay Master Pam East! This is a 4-day workshop.   We will use Art Clay Silver to create champleve pieces, and then add cloisonne elements during the enameling phase.  

Art Clay Silver Topics will include designing for enamel, proper handling and construction techniques, firing and finishing.

Enameling Topics include metal and enamel preparation, dealing with color reaction on silver, foils, applying wet enamels, adding cloisonne elements, Enamel firing, graduated shading techniques, and finishing.

    Info & Registration

    Explore a full range of metal clay skills while creating an adorable shadow box pendant, including rolling, texturing and cutting clay; sanding and prepping greenware elements; and creating and fitting mitered corners. We'll flex our metal clay muscles as we design and build a unique scene inside our boxes, using methods for making, refining, and adding tiny elements. We'll also cover the best ways to achieve a great patina, and tips and tricks to polish detailed work.

      During this 8-week course workshop you will learn successful silver clay construction, how to prepare metal for enameling, enamel preparation and application, How to get crystal clear results, graduated shading, and finishing.

        This is an 8-week course held on Thursdays.  Innovative copper and bronze clays contain pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured, and more. The binders burn away when fired, leaving pure metal. Make earrings, pendants, and other jewelry, guided in topics including molding the clay, construction techniques, firing, and finishing. All levels welcome.

          Introduction to Art Clay Silver

          Learn keum-boo, the art of applying gold foil to silver clay, in this fun two-day intro workshop. You will learn how to create a pair of earrings and a pendant in silver clay with keum-boo in mind, Firing, adding gold foil, patina and polishing. No prior experience with metal clay required. Great class for both beginners and experienced students who want to expand their skill set!

          Class fee includes the use of all Pam's tools and equipment. Students do not need to bring anything.
