Learn Enameling on Silver Clay with Art Clay Master Pam East! This is a 4-day workshop.   We will use Art Clay Silver to create champleve pieces, and then add cloisonne elements during the enameling phase.  

Art Clay Silver Topics will include designing for enamel, proper handling and construction techniques, firing and finishing.

Enameling Topics include metal and enamel preparation, dealing with color reaction on silver, foils, applying wet enamels, adding cloisonne elements, Enamel firing, graduated shading techniques, and finishing.

      Introduction to Art Clay Silver

      Learn keum-boo, the art of applying gold foil to silver clay, in this fun two-day intro workshop. You will learn how to create a pair of earrings and a pendant in silver clay with keum-boo in mind, Firing, adding gold foil, patina and polishing. No prior experience with metal clay required. Great class for both beginners and experienced students who want to expand their skill set!

      Class fee includes the use of all Pam's tools and equipment. Students do not need to bring anything.

        This is an 8-week course held on Thursdays.  Innovative copper and bronze clays contain pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured, and more. The binders burn away when fired, leaving pure metal. Make earrings, pendants, and other jewelry, guided in topics including molding the clay, construction techniques, firing, and finishing. All levels welcome.

          Marvel at the beauty when fused glass and fine silver come together.  Capture and enhance beautifule fused glass with innovative Art Clay Silver to make unique jewelry. Silversmithing tools and skills are not needed, as Art Clay Silver is sculpted and worked like clay and kiln-fired to pure fine silver, making this class ideal for students of all levels.  

          NOTE: Fused glass will be provided. We will not be fusing glass during class.

            Learn the ins and outs of the powerful Silhouette Studio software as we explore creating your own custom templates for use with metal clay or traditional jewelry making. We'll go from basic shapes to more complex designs to multilayered, registered templates. IMPORTANT: Students must bring their own laptop to class. A silhouette curio cutting machine is recommended, but not required. Two shared machines will be available in class. No prior experience is required. There is no material fee for this class.                         This class will open for registration in April

                        In order to become a certified instructor, you must successfully complete the Level One Certification course. This course is designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of Art Clay Silver. The curriculum consists of seven different projects and covers a wide variety of techniques. Some of the techniques include use of organic forms, creating flat and round-shank rings, addition and firing of gemstones, creating a mirror finish, and much more. This course provides general and technical information, as well as some helpful teaching guidelines.

                        Upon successful completion of this course, you are entitled to:
