This is a 6-week course offered on Tuesdays from 10am - 1pm

Innovative silver clay contain pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured, and more. The binders burn away when fired, leaving pure silver. Make earrings, pendants, and other jewelry, guided in topics including molding the clay, construction techniques, firing, and finishing. All levels welcome.

    Fall semester Intermediate/Advanced class will focus on creating unique hinged boxes.  PRE-REQUISITE: Two Adventures in Metal Clay classes at Spruill or by permission of the instructor.  The required Adventures class can be either silver or base metal clay.

      Introduction to Art Clay Silver

      Learn to make earrings with Silver Clay!  This is a fun and easy introduction to the world of metal clay.   

      Learn the basics of silver clay handling and firing with Art Clay Silver Master instructor Pam East.  

      Class fee includes 20 grams of Art Clay Silver and the use of all Pam's tools and equipment.  Students do not need to bring anything.

        Create beautiful pendants using Art Clay, Silver and watercolor enamels. Paint pre-enameled steel sheets with the watercolor enamels, which allow for a "painterly" approach and are quick, easy, and fun to use. Frame them with Art Clay Silver to make the pendant. This medium is easy to manipulate, like clay, and fires to fine silver. You'll be amazed! All levels welcome; no experience required.

          Learn Enameling on Art Clay Silver with Pam East! This is a full week workshop. Art Clay Silver Topics will include designing for enamel, Photo-polymer, proper handling and construction techniques, firing and finishing. Enameling Topics include metal and enamel preparation, dealing with color reaction on silver, foils, applying wet enamels, adding cloisonne elements, Enamel firing, graduated shading techniques, and finishing.

                Marvel at the beauty when fused glass and fine silver come together. Using easy fusing techniques, create colorful glass cabochons, including mesmerizing dichroic glass. Capture and enhance these pieces with innovative Art Clay Silver to make unique jewelry. Silversmithing tools and skills are not needed, as Art Clay Silver is sculpted and worked like clay and kiln-fired to pure fine silver, making this class ideal for students of all levels.
