This is a 6-week course offered on Tuesdays from 10am - 1pm

Innovative silver clay contain pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured, and more. The binders burn away when fired, leaving pure silver. Make earrings, pendants, and other jewelry, guided in topics including molding the clay, construction techniques, firing, and finishing. All levels welcome.

    This is a 5-week course offered on Fridays from 10am - 1pm

    Spring semester Intermediate/Advanced class will focus on Mixed Metals and Mokume Gane.  Come learn how to combine different materials for stunning effects!  PRE-REQUISITE: Two Adventures in Metal Clay classes at Spruill or by permission of the instructor.  The required Adventures class can be either silver or base metal clay.

In this two day workshop ou'll get a sampling of beginning metal clay techniques while making an adorable charm braclet.         Are you ready to try enameling?   In this two-day introductory course, we will jump right into the fun!   No metalsmithing experience required. No metal clay.   We will use die cut copper shapes to explore enamel application, firing and embellishments.   It’s quick, easy and fun!

          Art Clay Silver Topics will include designing for enamel, Photo-polymer, proper handling and construction techniques, firing and finishing.

          Enameling Topics include metal and enamel preparation, dealing with color reaction on silver, foils, applying wet enamels, adding cloisonne elements, Enamel firing, graduated shading techniques, and finishing.

                    Create beautiful pendants using Art Clay, Silver and watercolor enamels. Paint pre-enameled steel sheets with the watercolor enamels, which allow for a "painterly" approach and are quick, easy, and fun to use. Frame them with Art Clay Silver to make the pendant. This medium is easy to manipulate, like clay, and fires to fine silver. You'll be amazed! All levels welcome; no experience required.
